Will NP ban ebikes during fire bans?

I hear an ebike battery was breached and burst into flames on Manly Dam last weekend?

Are ebikes a bushfire hazard?
Will National Parks ban them during a fire ban?

Been riding behind a mate and saw sparks fly out when the bike's rear end hit a rock. Could theoretically ban all bikes.

has some good things to say
Simple fact is no. All NPs are closed on TOBAN days...in NSW anyway.

And if your e-bike catches fire whilst you are where you aren't supposed to be then more fool you.

and let's not forget the intense heat that brake pads and rotors can generate.
Just in. Massive fire caused by "rotor burn"

A fire broke out today destroying a trail network, 3000 hectares of bush and a shuttle bus. The cause was a man known only as pink poodle, who was out "shredding the gnar" with some "enduro bros" which is mountain biker talk for riding some dirt trails with others in the most radical way possible.

On a long descent his front brake failed causing him to overheat his rear brake to the point of ignition which is known to the mountain bikers as "rotor burn" due to the effect when one touches the overheated rotor. During a "schralp" on a section of track known as a berm the rider put the back wheel into the bush and his burning rotor set the area ablaze. The bike is ok and pink poodle escaped injury and charges. Disc brakes are now banned on catastrophic fire days.

This just in, actually someone just chucked a ciggy out of their car. Or didn't teach their kids about fire. Or was just bad. Or dry lightning happened...

Love them sizzels the rotor makes when red hot!

Ban smoking in cars will reduce grass fires in suburban areas and maybe a few big bush fires.

Fuck it just banish ciggy butt flickers to Mars

Old and hopeless
Then he was clearly a man of character and wit, one who would have embiggened the spirit of all he met.
Ha ha... Dan was a gentle little guy, but with a larger than life personality and razor sharp wit... his embiggenment capabilities were boundless.

Pretty handy rider too... motorbike that is. I've ridden next to him sitting in full lotus position on his Bonneville at the old ton.
