What does your day look like?

I'll just provide the end result!

When I partially degloved my left hand I thought at least it was clean and I got to it before I bled all over the place. Next day my sons dragged out the towels and teatowels they used to mop up the blood I leaked on the pavers where the deed was done, in the kitchen, the hallway, the garage etc. Hmmmm. I don't remember that... Though I did loosen the temporary bandage in the waiting area to speed up triage.

No blood involved, sorry not sorry. And more a what does your weekend look like.

The bike on the tunnel was Friday arvo on my sighting lap. A couple of the Mountainless guys were surprised that I was doing a lap only 7 hours before an 18 hour race, but I really wanted to see what I was riding over before I had to do it in the dark.

We decided a couple of weeks ago that Zombie George would be next to fucking useless trying to pack a tent and drive 500km the day after the race so we stayed in Melrose for another day.

We took the boys over the range to touch the sea at South Australia's longest jetty at Pt Germein.

When we stay in Adelaide for Christmas we camp at a caravan park on the beach so we took them to see the top of Spencer Gulf at Pt Augusta.

Today we followed a storm front home, stopping when it was a bit drizzly. Turned out to be a good plan as we missed one hell of a hail storm.

Ouch! Get well soon.
Don't do that one again!
Thanks mate. No riding, gym or drums for a few weeks methinks....... Thumb still slightly numb in a couple of spots but doc says that's due to the ligation stitch in the vein and that the numbness will cease when the stitch is removed. Still got full mobility and feeling which is certainly a relief. Amazing how in the space of a single second a jovial Sunday lunch can go pear shaped!

The lengths some people go to to avoid doing the dishes!

I'm impressed that you needed medical advice to go to hospital for that one!
I was actually unloading the dishwasher when it happened!

First mow of the season... as usual the tractor went aggressively under one of the black wattles to clean around the base. Mid sized thud on the canopy roof but no other noise. Last time it was a large sized thud and much squealing when I knocked a possum off their perch. This time though nothing for a few seconds and then a very angry, very confused snake plopped onto the bonnet and then over the side. I stopped when it appeared so no sashimi snake as it slithered back to the tree.

Did the ref make it out of the stadium in one piece?
Fuck me, what an absolute load of bullshit. I'm normally very anti-ref whinging, but equally I don't think I've ever seen such inconsistent fuckwittery in an International Test before. Some highlights:

Coming in offside to tackle? Yellow Card
Spear tackling a player without the fucking ball? Yeah nah that's fine (and I've seen that Red Carded in every game for the past 10-15 years)

Plus so many many more. I'd go into it but blood pressure. All I'll say was the <redacted> would've needed a security escort to leave the venue.

Regardless, still a great time. And we could've won it until we threw it away in the last minute. Kudos to the million odd Kiwis there for not being dicks about the win either.

Wasn't a great display of reffing at all, so inconsistent although he had warned earlier about time wasting but there is a time and a place - and that was neither... he has just ensured he gets no games past the group stage next year.

I think he may have read an article about Scotty and the subs and still a bit pissy about the whole ordeal.

From the TV the crowd and even the team when they lifted the Cup were very subdued...everyone knew they dodged a bullet on that one.

The thing is, the All Blacks truly deserved the win - for some of the game. The first 15 minutes looked dire, Wallabies were rusty looking and the ABs looked in total control while idling in second gear. Then we kicked into gear and largely controlled the rest of the game(ish), despite seemingly every single fucking referring decision being against us.

Equally though, Wallabies were inconsistent; a lot of field kicks straight to an All Black because having possession is boring apparently, plus some shoddy line outs and general sluggishness. But overall considering how many injuries the Wallabies currently have and the aforementioned ref bullshit they played brilliantly and probably deserved it more.

Weird though, I've grown up seeing the ABs as the best of the best of the best, but they're clearly rattled and well below form currently. Very unusual.

Agreed

Also agree, they've been clear favorites for nearly every single World Cup with daylight second and look how that's panned out for them...lulling the world into a false sense of security I hope.

Massive call to make a point that really didn't need to be made at such a pivotal time. Left a sour taste in most peoples mouths I imagine and spoiled what should have been celebrated as one of the best Bledisloe games in a long time regardless of the outcome.
Maybe they should just run a countdown clock on the big screen for such scenarios so there is no room for debate?
