What does your day look like?

Worked a five day week this week. How is this shit even legal?

Its fucked up! I have had a terrible run the last couple of months. Was supposed to have 4 days off this past week and 3 off next week...instead thanks to poor organising and last minute shift offers, I am doing 9 days in a row, 1 day off, then 6...then ill have 4 off. Fuck i cant wait! More days on pow...more days on pow...more days on pow...given it has rained all week i don't feel like i am missing anything. I am however sick of cooking for myself.

Shuttles!

Jeebus man, what happened?
Cressy happened.

You know the LH rock berm into 2 rock rolls before the sharkfin rock thingy.

Right there before the the 1st rock roll just as I was coming out of the turn there was a loud dry branch snap sound and I though "that didn't sound good".

Next RH berm, the rear was a tiny bit squirrelly, but not too bad. But pulled up before the next rock garden to assess.

On a positive note:

That WTB Judge/Trail Boss combo is fucking so good. Definitely going back to that on the Smuggler.

Bit of UrbEx with the kid on the bikes.
Some abandoned reception centre I’ve never noticed before.
The safe appears unopened. Someone’s had a crack at it with an angle grinder but didn’t make much headway.

My kid preparing a whiskey on the rocks for Jack Nicholson. All work and no play make Jack a dull boy!

Headed out to site and I went to and fro my local mountain pass. A twisty climb, less twisty crossing and a twisty run down and some open twisties on the other side. Damp roads from overnight rains but all doable at the posted limit in my Dacia. On the way down I caught up to a Vantage and it looked horrible. Front end washed out like an early Spec 29er. Really surprised. I know it is rwd and heavy but looked a handful at moderate speed. He pulled over and waved me past. Didnt see it again. Return journey it was hissing down. Still decent and doable though a fair amount of vegetation debris. Surprised to see many motorbikes at the mountain top Cafe. Caught up to 3 on the way down. Riding gingerly as is prudent in the conditions but the last rider was really uncomfortable, she (clearly a she and not gender shaming just an observation) was standing the bike up mid corner and the bike was not responding well. Almost a tank slapper on 3 or 4 occasions. She was tiny and the bike a 600 or bigger sportsbike. The two in front should have their arses kicked for riding ahead of someone who wasn't confident in the conditions. Pissed me off even more than the slow run down. All up had 5 out of 6 runs unopposed. The Vantage wasn't in the way for long.

Just a lazy 1000 kays for the day.

Was in the middle of some exploratory laps of a potential new client 250km west of home when the call came I was needed 5 hours east of home.

If I was a single man I could've cut an hour and a half off. Clean undies be dammed.

Rinse, sleep, hunt, return home tomorrow.

Do you think the Vantage was running old Cup 2s or something? Cup 2s don't like the cold or wet and I've heard they get worse with age.

Good point. Definitely possible. I drove a new GT2RS with cups and it was uncontrollable after a dog pissed on the road 200m away. I am running Contisport 7s. Best wet weather tyre I have ever run. 245/40 18s. Guys in the EU fit 275/35 18s. Too much tyre ($$$$$). Superb tyre though.

We tested the turbine blade. It is made from inconel.

That's a lovely drive. Clearly you had to go via the office...

That on Nicholson St? There's one there that's been slowly decaying since one of the lockdowns.
