I modified a spoke into a hook to hang it on the pegboard above my bench. This level of fucked-upness is too good to chuck out!
It was only a pretty low-level Tektro brake, so any descent would have been borderline epic, but no match for the epic lack of maintenance.

Very much so! We sat and watched the last car wade past the flooded Cardross Footy Oval and decided to not do the same in my Kingswoodc and her VY Commodore.
Many many mini lakes all the way out past Boundary Bend. Almond Harvest on hold for at least a week, one farm saying two.

Interestingly, the snow quality from about 2100m up was pretty good. The snow quality below that was pretty fun. Slush goes alright...it feels like peak season at home.

Just upgraded to photons to the router. New ssid etc. Printer was easy, has a screen and can input all the bullshit techy stuff. Scanner? Not today. Or yesterday. No screen. Faffed about uninstalling, reinstalling etc. Reset network. Etc. No scans. Mine is an Epson ds-510w. Great thing. Bought wife the upgrade which ends in II. Same story. She got hers to work with a cable. That we had to borrow because a month ago a big box of cables went away. Anyway then it would find everything. Today I had another go, uninstall, switch off, reinstall etc. It found the wife's scanner with wifidelity. Not mine which was connected now by the same cable. Fuck it. So I now scan with her scanner in her study. #2 won a scanner for his place. He can waste hours making it work...

A real winter storm! I havent had one of these all season...it is snowing, it is rather cold, and it is windy as fuck. More than the resort is on wind hold. This isn't exactly good news...all the recently melted snow has formed an amazing sheet of ice under a few cm of light weight pow. Every run is a knife edge of pleasure and pain. It is a great day!

Took a huge fall on the ice at the end of today. The sort where you post impact you wonder if you have toen your arsehole a bit wider. I currently feel like a horse kicked me in the arse. Don't get funky and ride switch on those icy days folks!

Took our funny looking Subaru rental to the end of roads past Glenorchy through a few river crossings up to the Dart River. Pretty sure we saw Gandalf at some point. Been driving this truck a couple days now and I can say it was a quite easy transition to parking badly, cutting lanes around blind corners, yelling at cyclists and just being a general fuckwit. I can see the appeal. The only let down was that it didn't come with a courtesy Amflow.
