What does your day look like?

My last 24 hours has been in a hospital bed, as I’ve had to get my gallbladder removed, so no riding for me the next 4 or more weeks and probably a diet change too, currently sore as fuck and Victorian roads are not making it any fucking better for the drive home.

Sorry to hear! Get well soon. I've heard that the gall bladder removal can be pretty painful.

Smoking wood harvest day. Callistemon and Redgum (most likely will only use the Redgum in the pot belly as impossible to know if it was treated with something when it was purchased).

Who am I kidding, I'll probably just "SEND IT". YOLO

Frustrating... went to doc last week with wrist pain from moving house and work. Suggested torn or sprained ligament but need mri to check. 300 bucks later, I rang the doc this am to see if my results were in. They came back yesterday but noone thought to call and let me know (thought that was the done thing but maybe not). So now have to wait til tomorrow arvo to get results, and I'm not allowed to work at the moment because the doc said no lifting/pushing/pulling so chewing through my sick leave. This is the 3rd peak period in six years where I've missed a chunk with illness, but as I work in retail I'm feeling pretty shit about it cause I know how much pressure everyone is under and I'm just here sitting on my arse.

Bikes are all still in boxes waiting for me to reconfigure the bike rack down to 3 bikes which I need a working wrist for as the garage still looks like a bomb hit it and I can't rearrange it with a fucked wrist...

No point feeling "shit" about your job. Consider that whatever the field of work, if you died, you would be replaced within a week.

You can make it a positive by making it a time to relax and do Fk all, read up on something interesting etc - stressing about what you 'should' be doing achieves nothing good.

It does get better. I had mine removed 18 years ago. As @steve jobs' pancreas said, make sure you get plenty of fibre (this could fall under YKYGOW you discuss fibre intake to random internet people)
Rest up. I recall feeling pretty good after about 2 weeks and that's where the risk of doing too much too soon can happen.
Paracetamol is amazing.

It’s been a week today and feeling better, went for my first short walk today and the old tummy is a bit tight which is to be expected, so easing back into it as directed by the doctor.
Also Ararat hospital was fantastic, great staff and services, the surgeon from Ballarat was great too.
