What did you do TO / WITH / FOR your bike today!

Was originally planning to go to Mt Annan but Mrs suggested that it would be packed with people BBQing.

Went to her default Blue Mountains ride again. Since it is forecasted to be wet this week and I get all tense if I feel like I will miss out then any ride is a good ride.

It is pretty pleasant up here with no one else around now.

Let’s just say I don’t want to jinx the process just yet but I’ve spoken to e13 and they said its still under warranty.
Good to hear. After you bent the first one I was a bit worried about longevity but it looks like user error on both occasions ;)

I've 2500km on mine and it hasn't missed a beat. Was considering another one.

I reckon their tyres are probably a good thing (had a semi-slick rear that had more grip than it had any right to, so would assume the other chunkier treads must be decently grippy too), but yeah otherwise I stay the feck away...
I’ve tried the 27.5x2.7 Zepplin. First one had a serious wobble so they replaced it. Next one also had a wobble but it was only slight and not concerning. Overall the tyre was unremarkable and did its job.

Merry fucking Xmas to you assholes

Compared to the absolute sauna that is Taiwan right now, Sydney weather is heaven.

Probably. My mum always said I shouldn’t be allowed nice things. But in saying that I’ve never seen another cassette shear in half or fold the granny gear over like an omelette.

Old and hopeless
We were up in the big smoke, and thought we'd take a short ride on the Anniversary Trail, which was nearby. Next thing you know, we're at Chandler Highway. Obviously we can't pass up on some single decent track... so, rode the Yarra trails back and beyond the boathouse. It was a bit greasy, and I really should have let our tyre pressures down, but after a while, I got used to bouncing off roots and rocks. We had originally planned to ride to a furniture shop, but decided not to... being covered in mud, and all. Awesome.

Weather broke but some bits were peanut butter over roots. Some hobbyhorse descents were witnessed!
But did it devolve into ditching your bike altogether like King of Ballarat last weekend?

Jabubu

let you google that for me

Damn!

No but some bikes tried to ditch their riders. Fortunately no injuries.

Booked in a 3 day canvegas trip for sunday and I get some ride time so stoked for that.

It’s been awhile since I’ve been down, anything worth a day trip? I’ve no idea how stromlo/majura pines are atm, or am I better off hitting up something like cotter pines?

Can any locals help?

Cotter pines is a bit of a set and forget trail, a few good loops but hasnt been worked on in a while, not so much techy stuff more XC, great to ride with kids and good views.

Majura pines is still great (Majurraic park is the jumps park at the bottom on insta)
http://www.majurapines.org/trails/ (a trail day happened a week or two ago, well kept these days by the volunteer crew)

Stromlo, probably hasnt changed much since you were here last, handlebar is the bar down the bottom after your finished.
Carpark is a bit busier as there is a leisure centre part of it now.

Yep as @dancaseyimages said Majura is running nicely at the moment due to the dry weather and hard work from the volunteers.

If your looking for jumps and faster stuff Stromlo is good at the moment as well but a few of the trails on the front are a bit blown out due to a race a few weeks ago. They have been working on them though so might be all fixed up now.

Give us a shout if your heading to Majura and looking for company.
