What did you do TO / WITH / FOR your bike today!

I just had a look, it starts and finishes in Forrest. It'll be a decent route. When they start it on the coast and finish in Forrest its a hell of a slog! But worth it just to say you've done it.
Cheers, good to know. Training starts now.

I haven't done a 100km MTB race, so I'd like to tick that one off the list. Hopefully it won't be too much harder than than the 100km Devils Cardigan gravel race I did on my Stumpy a couple of years ago.
Sounds like 100km should be your aim for Iron Torathon this year . I've still got to get myself down your way and ride it but young kids make it tough to get away.

I've been out riding the hard tail as I slowly get back into riding. It's nice to ride a trail as opposed to a cycle path. Even got a bit lost before finding myself again. There's a few new trails I haven't seen before, or at least haven't ridden behind Loftus Oval in the RNP.

It's been based in Forrest for a few years, but did the Apollo Bay route for an anniversary. Can confirm it was shit.

I haven't done the latest route, but looking at the website they listened to the complaints

Well considering the 8 laps I did 2 years ago was 87km and 3,200m, so 10 laps would be around 110km and 4,000m

I'll give it a crack though!
Getting me keen to do it next year too. Still enough time to get a solid training block in...
Yeah do it!

Well hopefully the Forrest course will be less shit. I rode Forrest probably 10 years ago, and wasn't super impressed, but it might have changed since then.

Working from home lunch break ride on the roadie. Kept within 5 min from home in case I got a call; Swoopy McSwoopface has taken up residence on my block and a persistent little blitzkrieg-er he is! 20km and 370m of climbing plus tight suburban corners every 100m equals a decent workout; absolutely cracking day for it too.

Got out for a YYs plantation ride tonight on the ATX.

Old mate forgot his riding glasses and the only glasses I had in the car were these novelty ones haha

Took a snap of the vintage bike, rolling on vintage velociraptors with the "Doc Brown-esk" future glasses hanging off the grips.

Watched The Lad through his first 50 km ride in our completion of this year's Tour de Gorge. He did really well since most of his riding is the kilometre to the bus stop and back...and he hasn't ridden any distance since last year's TdG. He hit the wall on the final 'climb' (a 10 km sandy, consistent 1.4% rise that seems longer) but carried on after inhaling a packet of snakes and then thigh cramped just before the end...but he made it!!

Well there's your mistake, would never have cramped on red frogs!
