What did you do TO / WITH / FOR your bike today!

Took the e-bike for lap of the Youies with my mate today and gave it some twisted bars, scratches in the handlebars, scratched the top of the right brake master cylinder and some gouges in the right grip. While I had a very close look at some dirt and rocks then the bike laid on my back trying to give me a dry root, first time I’ve had one of my bikes try and take advantage of me while laying on the trail, it’s a heavy thing.

A little bike rodeo is a wild thing.

Organised a night ride and got a great turnout!

Sounds like a shit place for a dirt nap. The youies grit is most fun when you're trying to scrub it out of your forearms in the shower...

Yep and a corked thigh from the rocks, it was on the last section of Junction just before the road and I rolled these rocks below but I think I got caught on one off to the side maybe 🤔, but either way it was a surprise to me.

I went for a ride!

I took on Pipeline (fuck that needs some trail fairy visits), Cuss Cuss and Black Snake.

While I can confirm I'm much fitter and lighter, I'm still fiercely below average at mountain biking.

I'm also undecided on whether I enjoy it that much to be honest. Sometimes I think I'd rather be taking on a bigger gravel challenge or just trail running..

Ghetto as Nitrogen charging.

Extra 'Like' for photo of The Cat. ;)👍

Sounds like you need some ride buddies. Nothing like sharing a little stoke to make it more betterererer
I did go with friends... Maybe it's because I haven't been for a while. I think I'll STFU and give it a few more goes before declaring!

3d printed what now!! I wouldn’t have been able take a photo of my latest ifp fill because I didn’t even have enough hands to hold the shock pump and needle at the same time. Let alone a phone. If that’s ghetto, I’m the shock junkie in the back alley with the used needle. More than once I’ve snapped those buggers while it’s wiggling and jiggling as I try to pump in a few extra psi, and then I just pray it doesn’t shoot out at my face (yes safety glasses mandatory).

BRB going to search for stl files

My STLs, specifically for that adaptor and pump thingy combo.

Will upload tonight, happy for you modify in Tinkercad etc as you see fit.

Usually i clamp it to workbench, but...

Having the needle pop out with flexible hose then spring back and puncture you while expelling x00psi is.... not fun... :)

Back to Mt Narra yesterday, it was pretty busy, but I had a good time. Checked out Rampage, chickened out on the first roll in though I am 100% certain there is a gnarlier roll further down on King Brown Alley, anyways rest of it pretty good but cased the gap sigh. Did some good times on anchors and king brown alley, was feeling pretty great but wasn't clean at all on Happy Ending. Came back up and tried Rust Bucket for the first time ; was pretty ordinary on that one as well.

Overall stoked on my riding on anchors and king brown, held pretty good speed and felt controlled, stoked to see some improvement, but would love to nail the whole of rampage in link it into the other trails for the ultimate top to bottom.

Next time will check out some of the further trails.

Shout out to trail fairies there again.

I think you need to step out of your comfort zone...time to hit the send button!

Just a guess but...maybe be you are seeing results with the weight loss, the running is going well and showing improvements, road and gravel meh...just churn up the cardio (also avoid car doors i guess).

mountain doesn't give you the same rapid feedback of progress. It requires a rather unique type of fitness (which i currently dont have), and to overcome some caution/fears.

If you have been out hitting goals in your other pursuits, its going to make putting the bike on dirt feel like a failure if you arent also nailing it there.
