What did you do TO / WITH / FOR your bike today!

Yeah, the Silver City trails are a good ride if you like a big pedal.
Revisited the West Coast in 2021. Ride from Zeehan to Montezuma Falls and back, first loop of Siver City Trail and even Climies Track return. I don't think all of Siver City was open then. All good riding.

The full "Stormsdown" loop is and and epic ride. Just need the right weather conditions. I've don't it 3 times now and been in luck with the weather each time.

Camped at Marlo in the AVan. Fricken endless easterly means no surf, and the mtb riding is non existent. Nice to get away though.

But left the AVan at Marlo and whizzed up to Eden, staying overnight in a motel… nice short loop of the trails and more tomorrow.

Ah, well that answers my question to my previous post. Zeehan would have been better suited to that bike.
Lol, and now that makes more sense now I've gone back to the other thread 🤣.

The plan was to check out Strahan, and Queenstown was cheaper for accommodation. Wasn't expecting it to take so long to get down the West Coast. Lucky the barge was running summer hours or we would have had to go all the way back to Burnie.

The company I'm down here for has signed with us for another 3 years so Mrs George and I are taking notes for next year.

Raced the Tas Gravity Enduro round on home trails in Penguin on the weekend. Being that there is no shuttle access on the Dial Range the junior numbers were down (little pussies) but we had the biggest 50+ field ever with 13 old farts getting out there, which shows that old guys don't mind a pedal! That said there was still 113 riders in the main race.

My legs just weren't feeling it on the day and I was slower on every stage than I normally am, but still managed a 4th place. Trails were super dry and loose but rolling really fast. Great to so many people at the Penguin MTB Park. Makes me really keen to get this Park redevelopment underway.

A 113 people riding up that trail would of been interesting.

Got a bit bi(wheel)-curious and so mullet-ed the Paradox. had a day off work so decided Lysterfield would be a perfect test ground. Clearly didn't seat the tyre properly because about 6km and we're basically running on flats. Could not get the stupid thing to seal properly.
Despite it being a basically wasted trip, it did feel nice and 'flickable' in the back end coming through all the corners. Looking forward to giving it another go (and eventually trying it on the Prime as well)

Stayed overnight at Eden… and rode some more trails today. Just greens and blues and it was ace.

Almost straight away we saw a red belly black snake in the Garden of Eden (duh, almost biblically certain ha ha) which sort of triggered Sue into high alert mode, but to her credit she toughed it out and we had a great time.
