What did you do TO / WITH / FOR your bike today!

Rorschach

Didnt pay $250 for this custom title
OneUp v2 Dropper and v3 remote arrive today, so that needs fitting at some point. Forgot to get assembly paste though, so need to pick some up.
Got a blue thumb pad too for matchy-matchy with my grips and pedals.

Also, kudos to MTBD for using a satchel rather than shipping me a big box of air

Installed my new Sram G2 brakes onto my bike yesterday. I did have to reuse an olive whilst my replacements come in the mail. Seems to work fine, but will see if it leaks.

The ali express bleed kits work great!

Will only keep them until I snap up a good deal on shimano brakes, which I have always preferred the feel of.

They made up for it when they sent my One Up bars in a box big enough for three sets of forks.

It's Not Easy Being Green
I got a bit of internal brake hose going.

Usually not a fan of internal, but the tight angle on the rear brake line was doing my head in.

It was surprisingly easier than I thought too. Just stuff it in from the bottom and I had pretty good access through the head tube to push it through the grommet. There's a fair bit going on at the cable exit now, but looks like it handles it ok.

Should have punched a big muthafuckin hole right here! Straight shot. It’s becoming quite fashionable I believe.

This years Great Cycle Challenge, raising money to fight kids cancer, starts today so I hit the paths before dawn and headed up to Kalamunda to ride the Zig Zag scenic drive which is closed to cars in mornings.

Did 60.3km all up on the flat bar roadie.

If you’ve got some spare $$ you’re looking to donate to a good cause, please consider chipping in: https://greatcyclechallenge.com.au/Riders/BrettAshby#donation1109345

Every $1 raised I’m committed to riding 2m vertical on my final ride. Raised $1200 last year so could be brutal last ride.

Zig Zag felt like riding up Alp d’Huez, just with 17 less hairpins, 10km less distance, 1,000m less vertical, and 6% lower average gradient. Some nice views but a bit hazy with recent burn offs.
