Is I him or you who isn't certain he is your dad?The bike for (hopefully) my dad
Why route like that? Run between shock and frame. The bike for (hopefully) my dad is nearing completionView attachment 378239
Thanks @moorey for brakes and frame, @nexusfish for shock and tyres and @Isaakk for the fork
Now, to convince myself not to keep it
He already rides but he has a old hard tail that has a super stiff forkBike looks sweet. Does he already ride?
Because that would involve removing the shock...Why route like that? Run between shock and frame. View attachment 378242
Literally 2 minutes…quicker than finding and fitting a ziptie. This is why you can’t have nice things…Because that would involve removing the shock...
He doesn’t want nice things.Literally 2 minutes…quicker than finding and fitting a ziptie. This is why you can’t have nice things…
There’s no emoji to express my head scratching screwed up face puzzled expression right now.Because that would involve removing the shock...
No, it would be more like 30 minutes because my dad decided that he didn’t want me to go and buy the spacer for the rear shock and he spaced it out with many small washers, so if I undo it then they will drop and scattered everywhereLiterally 2 minutes…quicker than finding and fitting a ziptie.
Especially seeing it came without a shockThere’s no emoji to express my head scratching screwed up face puzzled expression right now.
This upsets me even more so.No, it would be more like 30 minutes because my dad decided that he didn’t want me to go and buy the spacer for the rear shock and he spaced it out with many small washers, so if I undo it then they will drop and scattered everywhere
It’s 55mm wideThis upsets me even more so.
Measure the spacing. I likely have hardware. I’ll lose sleep over this. You really just can’t use washers in place of mounting hardware.
Rear? Check the spare rear. It’s 55mm wide
The spare rear has spacers for the frontRear? Check the spare rear.
What's the issue? It's not a GG......too soon?Because that would involve removing the shock...
#1 first bike had training wheels. I took them off on the 3rd day. He would lean the bike on the training wheel and do burnouts on the driveway with the unloaded back tyre. I shit you not. He was 5.This feels like the way I respond to the bike my siblings give their children...life is too short for training wheels!
