What are you listening to NOW?

When painting on Saturday I had some Tool going but when working in the yard I decided to crank it up a notch.

Not sure how I came across Protomartyr the vocals remind me of The Drones


Then it was some good old Megadeth, always been a fan and looking forward to seeing them later this year, these two opening tracks still make me smile all these years later.

The new Muse album is mostly shite, a couple of decents tracks. The reviewer in the Aus called this track a "Temu version of Plug in Baby" ouch


Let's remember the good old days, as the 'gurge once said, I like your old stuff better than your new stuff 🤣

 
Good to see that AI music is getting the respect that it deserves; banned from Aria charts and shunned on Spotify.

I don't have anything against AI music per se, if it sounds good I'll listen to it. But I can see the argument against allowing it to have commercial success. It just breeds scams and squeezes the humans out.

Florence + the machine are very, very good.
Had a great night with the girlfriend a few years ago at a florence gig. Ridiculously impressive live.

The first time I saw the black keys live (2006 - the long lost Cambridge hotel) i went along expecting to see a full band, perhaps even featuring 2 guitarists. I had only heard a bit of rubber factory (10am automatic in particular) on jjj and a friend had a copy of thickfreakness that had been given a spin once or twice in my presence. I initially mistook them for the opening act when they came on. Needless to say I was rather amazed by the way Dan Auerbach made a sizeable chunk of their sound out of relay pedals etc on the floor.


Now listening to thickfreakness for a bit of nostalgia.
