Ok so in lieu of an off-topic "confessions of the fkwits" thread, here goes... 😔

I like RHCP. There, I said it :p

I totally get the hate, and don't totally understand the die-hards, but they have some solid stuff amongst plenty of shit too. Stadium Arcardia is a classic example, almost all the singles are absolute 💩 but there's some great hidden gems on there. I actually really enjoyed the Klinghoffer albums too, underrated compared to the rest of the catalogue.

Exceptional.

Jeff Lynne always struck me as some one who hasn't had as much mainstream recognition as others less deserving. He's written so many massive hits for other people as well as making some very fine music with ELO.

One of those bands that you wish had made more music than they did. However, in reality that what limited them was intrinsic to who they were and without that, none of this would have happened at all.

Went to the gig at the Enmore when they came over last, in my top three live shows of all time. Random mix of expected Gen X music nerds and a surprising amount of younger people. Everyone standing around chatting, they came on and the place went ballistic within 10 seconds. Fuck it was good.

The lead guy is afraid of flying I believe so I feel lucky to have seen that.
