Warburton trail updates

I rode there early this morning, didn’t do shuttles , was on the ebike ,

Was busy, DJ playing tunes at the mt tugwell summit was interesting 😀, Had a bit of fun , going again tomorrow

Had a great day, some of the trails were a little slick or heavy rolling in parts. Rode up from Wesburn, did the three main descents on that side. Mad Max is awesome. Need a 2nd go at it to dial in. Captain Krayfish was very fun and long, but still very slick in parts. Warpj is flowy up top, some massive gaps and still surprisingly rowdy in parts down the bottom. Will be back with the full face before riding that one again.

I was at the car packing up around 2pm, all the Ses were set up on the oval, next min they are all running to there cars. As I was leaving an ambulance was heading up the hill.
Yeah from about 2pm they closed the upper road so the shuttle could only take us halfway up.

Hope the lad is OK there were many rumours floating around so its hard to know what actually happened.

We had an absolute ripper morning up to that point though.

Mad Max (blue) - Sick fast jumps line. 70+ jumps?

Captain crayfish (blue) - sick flow trail heaps of off camber high and low line options. Goes forever.

Shred Galah (black) - Nice tight and slower steep trail with some easy tech sections.

Scrubaroo - (black) - lots of nice line options high low inner outer, lots and lots of perfectly timed rhythm sections and hard g out berms.. easily my favourite with captain crayfish.

Max Max looks like the stuff dreams are made of, what an epic flow trail!

He allegedly went off a berm at speed into the trees,

Those that saw it said it looked liked he may have mistaken a berm for a jump, he got so much air it looked deliberate

I went out for look this morning, shuttle assisted.

Haven’t really ridden stuff like it other than the bottom half of Cascades. Fun, long descents, once I got my head in the game. Didn’t wait more than a couple of minutes for an uplift. All worked really well for day 2. Most people seemed to be riding one side of the road but the opposite side, Fubba/ Lyre, was running a treat, obviously not getting as much traffic. Worth a look too.

Agree with all the above and reckon Crayfish is about to become everyone’s favourite. It’s a hoot

The top half of crayfish was very slick when I rode it on Sunday which restricted the fun factor for me , a personal favourite of mine atm is fubba into lyre into another one that I’ve forgotten the name all the way down to the bridge ,the direction of it probably doesn’t suit all who are doing loops( particularly shuttles) which is probably why it seems to not have much traffic at this stage, but I just love the way it just seems to go on forever.

We did 3 Owls into Fubba into Lyre then Runaway Bride all the way into town. Holy crap that was a long descent. Lobster claws all round.
