Transporting 8 bikes in Rotorua

Have group of 8 heading over to Rotorua in October. Staying in a house for the week at Springfield.
I "think" we will be within riding distance of some trails but definitely not all.
Looking for some advice on the best way to transport 8 heads and bikes.

What works? Thinking a combination of a 3 seater transit van for the bikes and three riders along with a 5 seater vehicle.
OR
and minivan that takes all riders with a trailer for the bikes.
Anyone got any wisdom here please?

Not sure been a while since looking into it, but is there option for minivan and trailer? We capped ours to 4people so a standard car and roof mounts worked. Pretty tight on a roof with four bikes though. We stayed pretty close to redwoods and only drove to Skyline.

Have used James Blond a few times now ... out of Auckland airport ... Shuttle pickup and drop off at the airport.

LWB hiace held 4 peeps and bikes and boxes comfortably. But safer/easier then a trailer IMO
x2 covers your 8 bods and gear.

Did roto with 8 one year, we did the following - flew into roto, shuttle from airport, hired an older van from Rent a dent for our trips to Taupo (with trailer), maxi taxi to go out to dinners, etc... split 8 ways was cheapest option..

Went to Rotorua for 10 days last Oct. Used James Blonde, van was a 10 seater modified to a 5 seater with the rear seats removed to accommodate the bikes. Picked up and returned to Auckland Airport. Absolutely worked a treat and was hassle free, $1050 for the 10 days with insurance.

Hi
Mate just did a trip with 4 blokes and bikes
Hired a Ford Ranger dual cab, took over tailgate pad.
Worked out really good, economical as well.
2 x ford rangers and tailgate pads
Hired from Auckland airport
Worth considering?

Thanks for the help Gentlemen,

Went the 10 seater Hi-ace from rent a dent with a big fully enclosed box trailer. $1050 including airport pickup and drop off.

Thats the house, flights and transport covered for $850 each.

Not bad I reckon.
