I’d understand if they were @kten ‘s.These pants were worn by the 2nd place getter in Open Men. How did you come to have them in your possession @Jpez ?View attachment 386144

Dooo eeeeet! All the talk in here has certainly got me keen for next year....got nearly a year to improve my riding and fitness but will be watching for details of '23 with great interest
Can you do 6 days straight of 1000-1500 meters. Up to 30km pedaling In all weather. Add racing or at least making the liaisons in a timely manner on solid black trails and keeping your head in the game becomes a priority.Watching the moi moi vid this looks pretty sick.
How fit on the I'm an old unfit bastard scale do you reckon you need to be to do the 6 days?
Any peeps competing this year?
It's a great week so much fun! I worked hard on my bike fitness before doing it a few years back. I figured my riding speed down had never been super fast but at least it won't be fatigue causing me to crash make silly mistakes if I was in good shape.I hear you brother, what you are saying is, basically, "if you want to do this, get off your fat arse, jump on your bike and put in the hard yards"
I thought it might be the case! I am definitely interested in trying something like this, so this could be the best incentive
The good news is you can enter with an Emtb now and no added KLM's for ebikes. Can you do 6 days straight of 1000-1500 meters. Up to 30km pedaling In all weather. Add racing or at least making the liaisons in a timely manner on solid black trails and keeping your head in the game becomes a priority.
I think ‘pretty fit’ is the answer. Mildly fits it’s doable but it would be a slog.
I made sure before I did this and NZ I was comfortable doing minimum 2-3k + elevation every weekend for a while.
They have nothing on the Strava world champions.I'd start with a one day enduro race. I was shocked how fast these people go and how slow I was.
Nothing like seeing a 14 year old his 38 year old father and the 70 year old grand father come flying by you like your standing still on a line that you didn't even think was possible. They have nothing on the Strava world champions.
