XC TRANCEndental meditation

After waiting for what seemed an eternity it came time to buy a new trail machine.

I have had my eye on a Trance for some time and so I went to Phantom to see what sort of deal they could do. As always Kerry at Phantom was able to do a deal that I still find hard to believe (so good he swore me to secrecy). So here she is my new Trance X2.

Upgrades:
Front fork - Fox F Series RLC.
Crankset - Race Face Deux XC
Pedals - Shimano M545
Other than above its bog standard.

Initial findings.
Picked the bike up on Saturday so have only been on one trail ride so far but my initial impression is that this is a superb trail machine. So easy to peddle, the Propedal and Lockout makes it feel like a road bike when you are on the bitumen but allows a quick and easy switch to bouncy, bouncy trail mode. Hardly had to think about which line to run as this thing just went along anyway I wanted. Still some tweaking to go with the suspension set up.

What I don't like. Nothing so far, it's all good.

Cheers,
Mike (CBG)
