We've all been stung with the race abandoners, no cash to swing a sprinter in for 1 flattie, gotta just keep the climbers for the next 2 mountain and maybe 1 hills before Paris, hoping no more quit :rolleyes:
 
Huge change to Stage 19.
They've had to cull a shitload of cattle on the Col des Saisies (cat 1 climb) so the stage is going to skip that climb and start at km 52, which will make for a 95km stage with no intermediate sprint and 2 major climbs instead of 3
 
A late run has @rangersac on the top step. Only 70 points separating top 3.

As @mike14 says, a strange shortened 95km stage tonight, then one in the hills and the finale a very different race to previous years chardonnay cruise with sprinters for the win 😬

Bit rough on that bloke I thought, not much different to the side of the road clowns, like a TDF streaker. 100m past the finish he would have had to stop anyway 🤣

Every time some knobhead loses their shit and runs alongside the riders, I pray for some community-minded spectators who are giving the riders space, to yank that idiot off the road and kerb-stomp them. Same goes for the selfie-takers, sign-flappers, flag-wavers and assorted road-taker-uppers.
 
Its the triple point night and a race, unlike the champagne freewheel of past years. The combative bonus lands on the scoring of stage 21... if you are within 500-700pts of the lead, it could go any way.

Picking the winner of the stage tonight would just about seal it though.
 
Swapped several times, WVA-Pog-WVA-Pog-Quinn-Pog-WVA... still not decided.

Poggy has ridden very defensive the last few stages, just happy to have the prawn beside him... unlike him. Is he saving it for a wet win in Paris or happy to get the win safely ???

I'm flipping between 12hr days and nights, will watch the stage and sleep in tomorrow, ready for nightshift. It is a bloody late start though :(
