I always thought many were over reacting and only had themselves to blame if they came down. Still do largely but I did encounter a particularly vicious one at Vincentia he'd attack up under the helmet going for the ears. Little bastard gave me a nick on the ear.

We were targetted endlessly in SA doing the Mawson.
One day was cold and windy and I had my hood on under my helmet , I have been attacked 100s of times living rurally but this day was the worst ,the magpie hit me in the ear really hard, so was glad for the coat hood.
Other days we were wearing insect netting because of the bush flies so that felt safe.

Saw my first attack of the season, some poor old fella walking with a walking frame was attacked by a little one down at the beach at the 'bra. Funny enough I was walking past at the same time and he didn't have a go at me.

Was in a funny spot as they're normally across the road in the reserve. Anyway old mate was wearing a beanie and wasn't phase in the slightest
