Feedback

Feedback for you - appreciate the great interviews you have had of late...but please let them speak. You had the world's best MTB photographer on the line and you told him what lenses to carry...Huh?
Is it also possible to use enhanced iTunes so that those of us who do not share your taste in music can skip ahead?
Appreciate the better sound quality of late. Thanks for all of the hard work.

Thanks for the feedback. I don't think I told him what lenses to carry just why type he carrys (ie. Wide, Prime, Tele with constant aperture) etc.

But I will take it on board as a valid point. Sometime when you here me start to fill in the answer for them it is because there has been a long pause, so I'm trying to kick start their reply. You don't get to hear that as I edit out any dead space nowadays (didn't in a lot of the earlier episodes), hence it sounds like I'm stepping on toes. I'm conciously trying not to, but interviewing over the phone you can't see when the other person is about to speak. But thanks for the imput.

Whaddya mean you don't like the music!!!! I'm looking into chapters for the episodes but I've first got to bolt down the sound first.

Good to see you are not offended by the feedback - I was a bit worried and I do enjoy the podcasts as I commute (I know...but mostly on bike paths!)
Interesting to hear the whys behind the interview... as a teacher, I know it can be hard to get people to speak! Again thanks for the show, but sorry the "Creeping Cruds" is the other end of the musical spectrum for me (being an XC rider in the Masters...:)

Great show. All very interesting.

Just 1 question:

Where can you buy f/1.2 50mm lenses for $400?

Don't know much about Nikon, but a good Canon 50mm prime is well over $2,000.

Thanks for the links.

I was looking at L series f/1.2, but yes you are right the non-L f/1.4 is much cheaper.

I wouldn't be too concerned about the whole L thing for a 50mm prime. Several pro I've talked to say it is their only non L series lens, but is also one of their sharpest.

If the 50mm 1.8 at $150 is good enough for Damian Breach, I'm sure you could make it work for you. IE. All the 50mm Primes are good. It is just how much you want to spend to get that extra couple of percent. My 50mm Prime (1.8f ~ $150) is incredibly sharp, it is also at time very hard to use.

Fred Miranda can take up a lot of your time drooling over lenses.
