Time to go dual suspension

Hi all

Looking to buy a decent dual suspension 27.5 bike to complement (and maybe even replace) my 29er hardtail.

Like many I'm stuck on the "aggressive trail or enduro" question. I'm after something that lets me climb pretty well and leaves me with a big smile after the downhill. My rides are split pretty evenly between Lysterfield (no real issues with the 29er) and the You Yangs (gets a bit sketchy in places and not game enough for most of the blacks), with trips to Wombat, Red Hill and hopefully Buller/Falls in the future. There's also the possibility of some NSW/ACT and NZ trips.

With a focus on fun riding, and about $3.5k to spend; what are people's thoughts on best ride for Victorian trails? Based on price point I'm looking at Giant Trance/Reign, Trek Remedy and Norco Sight/Range. There's also a Rocky Mountain Altitude 750 on bike exchange and I like the look of the Canyon (although inability to test ride sucks).

Any thoughts/input would be much appreciated. cheers!
