Cruising to work this morning and some guy feels the need to pass me but then not go any faster to the point of my front tyre was nearly buzzing his rear. Normally I wouldn’t care but he pissed me off so I pass him but unlike him I maintained my speed if anything I went a little faster, then I can hear him behind me, so I’m like what is his problem. I had a similar issue on Tuesday after work when I passed a guy on his Curve gravel bike because he slowed down then once I passed him he had to pass me and stay in front. I guess e-bikes are like a red rag to a bull

I wish, it might save some battery for me, at one stage he would drop down to 20k on the flat or downward slope, I looked at his drivetrain and he was cross chaining to max: big ring up front and largest cog in the rear, pedalling like mad.

Seems to happen a lot if they pull up behind while stopped for something, take off together then they think they can take the lead after sitting in your draft for a while.

The general concept of this research is very well known, but their methods and questions are novel and enlightening.
Oh, and good on GCN for this sort of content. I know they have many haters, but in a media field overflowing with tripe, I think their overarching effect is beneficial.

That's actually a good video from GCN. I normally avoid them and GMBN but they hit the nail on the head with that one. It doesn't mention it, but the comment from the woman early in the video also speaks to the strangely disproportionate hate for cyclists compared to the actual inconvenience that drivers may receive. It's the "it's the bike riders fault" regardless of what the facts are.
