Finally on its way! I searched for one of these for 14 years found one then sold it as work turned to shit, regretted it ever since and have been hunting again for years and this one popped up. Some bought a storage unit that no one claimed and it was full of bikes I spotted this reached out to the seller and got it for $1500AUD. It is mint! I have NOS MRP rollers also the other think I will change is the horrible seatpost and seat.

It looks brand new! Congrats! 🏆

I think it got shortened to DB for Marketing reasons. (??) The Ski/board bags look well designed, and the roll top to fit board/ski length is a great idea.
Yep the roller works really well, means the bag scales to the length of your gear and the whole thing rolls up small and stows in a cupboard easily.

Well made too.

I didnt take a before photo but these boxxers were leaking oil everywhere and it was oil I have never smelt or seen before it looked like cooking oil or piss haha but was so chemically!
No idea who had there hands on them before but I fully stripped them cleaned with 100% isopropyl and an ultra sonic cleaner for good measure to get all the nasty stuff off, new oil seals and maxima oil and they are as good as they day they left the factory if not better ready for their next service 28 years from now haha

Stoked to see the UPS van pull up last week.
Huge thanks to Todd Faust in the states for picking this bike up for me and sending it over so well packed.
The photos online really don’t do these bikes justice, in the flesh they’re absolutely amazing. What makes it even better is that only 100 of these were ever made.
I’ll check the serial number over the weekend as they were all numbered 1-100
Plan is to throw some fresh rollers on the MRP, finish the build, and then give it a proper wash.
The bike is in incredible condition, it honestly looks like it’s only seen the trail a handful of times, if at all. Super pumped!

Unbelievable find mate! They're still out there!

First wash in about 26/27 years!

It was hardly ridden and then stored away until someone in America bought it last year, discovering a few high-end bikes—this one included.
These bikes really don’t get the justice they deserve in photos (probably including these ones) seeing one in person is a completely different.

They have thin paint because they were wet-sprayed rather than powder-coated. Even though I owned a frame back in 2013, I didn’t fully appreciate just how nice the colours are and subtle glitter in the paint was.

Just waiting for the bike to dry and it will get fresh MRP rollers and I will obviously cut the seatpost, I had a spare 27.2 Thomson Elite that was never cut hence the XC length you see in one of the images.

Continuing on the Trek theme...

Saw this on Marketplace today, didnt really look too hard until i read that it had Hadley hubs... looked through the photos and saw the Psylo, the M755 XT brakes then the XTRrrrrrr... assuming it's not completely thrashed it's probably not too bad for the components, but then I saw that the seller is Wade Bootes...

Trek Liquid

I've I had the money I'd snap it up, maybe even offer a bit more for him to sign the frame...
