ED is nothing to worry about - Easily fixed with 2 paddle pop sticks and rubber band or tape - Hair ties work well too

It's because there really isn't huge weight savings for the additional cost compared to a high quality steel spring.
While Ti is ~40% lighter than steel by volume it also has a much lower Young's modulus which means the geometry of the spring has to change to compensate. When companies started making lighter steel springs by using higher grade spring steel, it closed the the weight difference gap to the Ti springs so much that it made them a much less attractive option.
