All you guys wanting ISO…

These guys are the bomb. Heaps cheaper than Bunnings. I also use their large spray bottles. Can always water down the 100% stuff with some distilled water if you really want.

1L is $10 (plus shipping)

200L drum anyone?
I think I got my first 5L through them a few years back, but their eBay shipping for a 5L is something mental like $55 so went looking elsewhere. o_O

Fair. Shipping to Syd metro for me is like 15. But I see interstate is quite a bit more.

Cheers. Flicked an email to Deviate to see what they use and will dig around the shed cupboard I recall having some clear tape I bought for cable rub on the kids bikes.
Self quoting. Deviate use a 1.5mm thick stick on neoprene rubber. Could not find anything local but found 3mm foam at Bunnings. Not the neatest but see how it stands up after a few rides.

Googled, but only found US sites so far.
Anyone got a source for purist bottle lids (lid only). I’ve got 5 bottles but only 2 lids. Prefer the moflo style, but would even do non purist lids if they fit properly and don’t leak.

Specialised list them, in on line store but an actual store may have ?

Other wise Fox list them as a part

Knowing spec tho its gonna be a ' propriety size ' .

This might work? I think I have a podium bottle somewhere. Might try to find it to check lid compatibility.

the specialised store only seems to have them in the us region. Can’t find them when I switch to AU

No help, sorry @dirtdad

Just some info.

I only buy Tacx Shiva bottles now. We have a double drawer full of them from many manufacturers.

They range from $2.50 from the German retailers in brands like Tune, SKS, etc., to $25 here with a Dharco or similar brand name on them.

Exactly the same bottles, lids are interchangeable and cheap as long as you don't buy them here.

When my boys were riding and losing bottles or putting them somewhere till they went green/black/slime, this worked out beautifully $$$ ;)

Also when bubuing, 60% of the Pro peloton teams use Tacx Shiva bottles.

Cheers all.

Totally. I bought 9 or so bottles for about $4 ea when bicycling magazine was selling them cheap a few years ago. The remnants of those are what I’m trying to keep running, but lids will probably cost more than original runout sale bottles.

Will look at the tacx ones, and check out podium lids as spares for the purists.

Looks like I need a new magic box that makes the internet go (modem router thingies). Currently have a Netgear nighthawk AC1900 I think so what would be a good replacement for under say $300?

The TP-Link Archer AX55 comes highly recommended.

How big is your home and what kind of internet connection do you have?

It's a medium size one story. Think it's adsl 2 or maybe copper NBN. It has a phone jack in the kitchen I plug it into.

Gli.net AX1800 has Openwrt out of the box. The latest version of this is just incredible, you can specify Openvpn tunnels for individual ip or Mac addresses.

TP-Link have been caught out being very naughty boys and sending packets back to China. You can upgrade some TP-Link to Openwrt but that screws your warranty.

I have the same Modem-router, Nighthawk AC1900 D7000, I bought a router only TP Link AX73 and use the Nighthawk as the modem and the AX73 as the router.
Its now handles 4 x TV's, a few computers, 4 x phones, garage door, security camera etc...

I get full wifi in my bomb shelter garage, down the driveway and working in the back garden.

If you do go this way, make sure and login to the Nighthawk and in advance settings, select use as 'Modem only' or it will drop out occasionally. I only discovered this after a couple of months.

You mean the malware incident or something else?
Just looked up the malware incident, holy moly!

No this was some other stuff over the years, including sending lots of traffic to Avira for "analysis".

Anyway I just moved from a TP-Link ax5400 to the Gl.inet a couple of months ago and the difference in features and usability is huuuge.

Would most people be comfortable with setting up OpenVPN tunnels using open source software?

That said I would be so I'll take a look :D

Not necessarily, but I'm more comfortable with Openwrt than proprietary software from a Chinese manufacturer that's been caught out a few times sending packets where they shouldn't have been going.

I've also struggled with Asus, D-link and Netgear routers in the past. The Openwrt software leaves them all for dead.

Keep an eye out on Ozbargain, been a few deals lately on modems & routers, decent prices/specs and they all seem to know how to get those prices price matched at JB etc.
