Mate is after a entry level xc bike for rides with the kids and missus, and the odd lysty ride with the lads.

Free you say if I didn't already have one, I'd be all over that
Hardtail, yes. Cheap, not so much... :p
If he was looking to spend decent I'd be letting you know.

Thanks for all the bananas
Can someone tell me what tool this person uses to extract the spindle on a Nukeproof pedal?

On 21 seconds he folds out some kind of socket wrench but it makes no mention of what it is.
This is bollocks, you need three specialty tools to service a set of pedals!

Deep socket tool
Bearing removal tool
Bushing removal tool

Why don't these chunts make this stuff clear when selling their products!

To be fair, I wouldn't consider a deep series socket a specialty tool. But then I use them everday.

Have you heard of planned obsolescence?

Make a product too difficult for mechanically poor and toolless people to service and said product is more likely to not be serviced and so fails earlier than if it had been serviced which forces the owner to need new ones more frequently.

My advice is to keep buying tools, a well stocked workshop is an investment in happiness and satisfaction of a job.done well with the right tool.

Or invest in the fuckwits thread and hammer away!

The ‘bolt up’ is threaded...with a bolt screwing into it.

Obviously ‘thru axle’ aren’t threaded. Your axle goes through. 99% are ‘thru’ but thought I’d better check.
