"Suitable for accidental food contact"It's what you get when you ask for anti seize to use on commercial food machines, I guess it's not as dangerous as regular anti seize.

"Won't make you throw up and shit yourself like a glob of marine grease will, but still not exactly foodsafe""Suitable for accidental food contact"
Agreed not something you want to put.on your sausage at bunnings."Won't make you throw up and shit yourself like a glob of marine grease will, but still not exactly foodsafe"
[EDIT] @Litenbror - I get that used in areas of the machinery that don't directly contact food it would be fine, but just a bit of a misnomer otherwise.
You know the answer to that already @Litenbror ! Just get that new bike and be done with it.Also for all of the responses not one to help with the actual question... just saying.
Waterproof greases seem to last longer than food grade antifreeze from my own personal experience, I used to service lifting equipment in abattoirs. On the topic of installing new bearings. To avoid them getting stuck am I better using a thin layer of grease on the outside of the bearing and the linkage or anti seize (I have a food safe anti seize with PTFE from a previous project).
Link? Can’t seem to find ones like Ozzys on ebay.I have just bought a set on eBay.
I think we have issues but hopefully cables clanking won't be one of them![]()
Dont pay $25 for them on eBay, they are usually €6 or $10au.Link? Can’t seem to find ones like Ozzys on ebay.
Bearing shortageHas the world run out of derailleurs etc again?
Bearing shortage
You can reuse them but make sure you suck all the old grease off first.Fuck! I'm nearly due for a reload. I may have to pop my used ones open, select the roundest balls, regrease, and reseal.

Looks OK, mine which still has the 42 is about the same on big-big and is fine. Wouldn't go any shorter though.Aeons ago, on ye olde 3x10 26".. swapped the big 42 tooth for a bash ring, but can't remember if chain was shortened at that time..
now, in Small-Small (24-11) gear chain was almost touching itself, and in Big(middle)-Big(32-36), rear derailleur was fairly vertical..
always seemed a bit too slap-happy...
so today took out 2 side plates... resulting pics below
QQ-TLDR: did i fix it or fk it?one link too many?
