Haven't seen it...or any of the Expendables TBH. Can't see past the off camera stuff unfortunately. I would really like to have watched the torture porn Passion movie, but alas. Happens to so many...not sure if its the money and fame going to their heads, or it was always there, and now they just get emboldened or a platform to express it.
Without digging to deep to find it, when the passion came out I think there was talk about him being tied up in some well out of mainstream Catholicism old school beliefs that harbour anti-Semitism based on something to do with the Jews being responsible for killing Jesus. rather than his drunken rants being a more recent development. Memory of details is vague and I can't be bothered trying to find it just now.

mel gibson is a known jew hater. outside of his drunken rants, theres been plenty of press about him and his views. Guy is a fuckwit in general

Watched How It Ends last night. Netflix film with Forest Whittaker and a dude you've never seen in anything else.

I'll blame my enthusiasm for dystopian movies for this one but holy shit it was woeful. Couldn't even finish it. Tried. Couldn't. Starts like a big budget movie (it isn't) with increasingly crap action set pieces directed by a potato, largely terrible acting from main dude who isn't Forest and a world ending apocalypse (probably) that becomes decreasingly compelling. I had to stop and re-watch a Rick and Morty episode to cleanse my brain of the badness. I thought Whittaker's presence would be insurance against truly b-grade shite but again he was in Taken 3 so perhaps I should've known better.

I just had no idea they still made stuff this bad. @moorey that may be your cue.

I think that's how your average MAGA sees himself - either Braveheart of Gibson out of The Patriot. Rather than say, an overfed lil bitch with bad facial hair and bad sunnies.

So you don't know How It Ends.
No... by the halfway mark that was the only thing keeping me clawing my way through it as I'd invested so much time so far but after the 37th confected Home & Away esque "dramatic sequence" I decided I just couldn't keep throwing good money after bad.

Perhaps the whole film was actually a psychological experiment to give something an interesting name then make it as hard as fucking possible to sit through to it find out what the title meant. Was there a reward at the ending to provide closure? We'll never know.

Battlefield Earth. Nuf sed.
You clearly haven't seen Taken 3. It's worse.

Polar - (Netflix) Gratuitous and graphic violence (which I'm not necessarily against) with no point, a story line that's basically been done a lot, every character a walking cliche and an ending that was stupid. Unsure why i lasted all the way though.

The General's Daughter - (Netflix) Only lasted around 25 minutes. Learned my lesson from Polar...

You, sir, are clearly an ass.
You didn't pick that up from my username? You slowin' man, you slowin'

Also which movie? Taken 3 is shit. How It Ends is arguably more shit. Taken 3 is not a rapture movie. How It Ends could be a rapture movie but as I whinged earlier I couldn't make it through to confirm. You should watch it and report back.

I’ve got my own struggles trying to finish Chip Rosetti’s “A Borrowed Christmas” first. 30 minutes in after 4 attempts.
