How long did it take to complete? Thinking about picking it up but getting very sick of games that are too quick (looking at you Sniper: Contracts 2...)
About 22 hours to get through single player. Havent started the mode where you infiltrate other people’s games and try and kill them yet.

Final Fantasy VII should suit your needs perfectly!

God damn that had some shit scary moments. Still remember being stalked by facehuggers through darkened rooms to be a traumatising experience. How good was the Smart Gun for those "lol, no" moments where aliens try to flank you? Just vaguely aim at them and hold trigger down until they exploded. So so great.
The smartgun does sound so right. The minigun and how to spools up before levelling any Aliens pointed at it is also entertaining.
The nailed the sounds and atmosphere in the old one. I do have to give Firetream a crack one day but 3rd person view is ok but just not as good.

Hurts. Requires Money. And is nerdy.
Downloaded knights of the old republic on on my switch. $18!
Much better than I remember, I suppose I appreciate the RPG aspect and in-game dialogue options much more now than I did when I was 11. Good graphics don’t make a game. Big titles are so disappointing nowadays.

And it’s on switch so I can roam around collecting bounties and shooting sith while I’m sitting on the toilet. Stoked.

Do you have the Oled version?

I bought it and have found it very underwhelming. The Portal aspect is the most interesting part if they keep releasing maps and content for it.
You'd think that after the great games that were Battlefield 3 and 4; they'd just refine it and create something amazing nut nah, without a vehicle to travel in once you respawn, you spend ages running to an objective and unless you're recon, thats shit!
I've kept playing it hoping that once I learn the maps it'll get better but nope, the cross play with console and PC is a slaughterhouse with PC guys dominating. And cheating. Apparently this game is rife with cheats using aimbots and it figures. I've been killed by single pistol shots that are across the visual furthest points on maps, ain't no one that good without some help.

This is the main reason why I now avoid a PC for multiplayer FPS. Cheating has always been very hard to control IMHO.

Yeah, it's definitely the cheating at fault for me losing all the time. Nothing to do with being old and slow and failing to get with the times.

(Quake champions was right up my alley though. Was like stepping back to 1998 )

Found this interesting. Impressive the lengths they went to to get full utilisation of the hardware.

Played Far Cry 5 on the PC. Haven't done any PC gaming in a decade so was blown away by how far the graphics have come. Game was quite enjoyable but the ending was crap.

Anyone played Far Cry 6?

Is Far Cry one of the series that has alternate endings depending on the choices you make during the storyline, or am I thinking of something else?

No that's the Metro series. Far Cry has the huge open world's and the base raiding.

I’ve got 6. It’s a massive game, but outside the story it can get pretty repetitive doing the other objectives. Far cry 5 new dawn has probably been my favourite so far.

Played through It Takes Two with a mate over last week. It was pretty special, never played a co-op game like it where you need to do different things and work together to solve all the puzzles / platforming. The divorce story line was a bit stupid however, but otherwise its a solid 2 player game that was very unique.

Currently playing Divinity Original Sin 2 and loving it, although its bit much on the inventory management side of things. And that you can wander into way too many situations you haven't got a hope of winning until you've leveled up, so while its "open world" you can't stray too far off the path in terms of how advanced your gear and stats are.

I spent way too much time playing Dayz last week when isolating from the rest of the family with fairly mild covid symptoms. Amazing open world game with no objectives at all. I don't know how anyone finds the time to get into that game properly though. I really want to form a gang of cannibals who knock people out and force them to eat human meat but real life is probably more important right now.
