The gaming thread

Ha! It would need it to turn invisible or fold up into a large pillow or cushion for me to get away with that one. I fear the death stares.

Haha, you should see my setup at the moment... We're renovating our son's room so we have an ultra widescreen on a monitor arm, PlayStation, and steering wheel all on the dining table.. Bliss!

this AI RAM craziness is just that... not a good time to build..

Where would be a good place to sell some RAM? I bought 128gb for a job a couple of years back (2x 64 ddr 4 I think) which I don’t really need now.

Gum tree? EBay? Wassit worth?

I think DDR 4 is 32GB max - So a 64GB would be a kit 2 x 32GB - Facebook marketplace - get your money first (I have always sold on Marketplace and gotten money first or I just wait for another buyer) - Ebay a lot fees now and they will pay by PayPal so in anything upto 6 mths time the buyer can open a dispute
Price will be dependent on what it actually is - DDR 4 what? there is a speed and is it a matched pair etc

Overclockers.com.au is a great place to sell as your selling to computer people but unless already a member there is a waiting period to see the sales section

Looks like we chatted about this back when I was buying it:

It is four sticks, you’re right. Any idea if it’s worth the pain to sell it and what it might be worth on the used market?

had a quick look at recent on OCAU for DDR4.. not sure if the vibe is cheaper or realistic?

one set of 2x32Gb DDR4 corsair 3200 sold end of year for $350.

I think what I have is Corsair, couldn't find the packaging so I'd have to dig further,

Can't really be arsed unless my Tulips are worth at least 500

They do look like that second image; there's four sticks and they add up to 128.

Do I want to be dealign with nerds online?
oh wait

OCAU is nerd and 3month wait for trading section...

4x32 could be 5-700 for all? FB is a bit of a crap shoot...

the ones linked back then were 3200 to 3600, so they are still in demand.

AMD said something about releasing more 5xxx series CPUs, which use DDR4, because Ram went up and HODLs may have missed boat to go AM5... so more ppl still on AM4 and may want more Rams for modern games...
2x32 is pretty premium for DDR4.. most ppl woudl be on 2x8, or maybe 2x16 back then....
