At the risk of sending any revenue her way, this is pretty fucking surreal... Very much aimed at the education level/attention span of your average ON voter, but this will get her votes for sure.
It's already on the rights to anti-vax bandwagon, Australia is full of people that can't think for themselves, even the rest of the world for that matter, Just look at some of these useless pricks that use social media to influence people just to profiteer from them.

Agreed, it's pretty clever by their standards. ON will probably haemorrhage protest votes to the UAP thanks to Craig Kelly's profile, so having something like this is a good way to wrest attention back.

This election will be, at least in part defined by disinformation generated domestically by the two major parties (with impact that leaves Kelly and One Nation in their dust).

The success of Mediscare and Death Taxes will create more temptation than Morrison will be able to resist and he will use rather crass disinformation about the ALP to deflect away from his failures around the bushfires, COVID-19 response/vaccinations, relationship with China, carpark rorts, secret trust funds to defend claims of rape, relations with the French and kicking the submarine can down the road, COP26/climate change and generally using foreign policy as a lever for domestic popularity competitions.

It's going to be an election campaign known for its grubbiness, negativity and lack of policy. More so than usual.

The problem as I see it. Neither of the big two are in any hurry to do what needs to be done in a hurry. However in my electorate voting elsewhere will be effectively a wasted vote. I want the incumbent on the grass so therefore I have to vote for the other of the two. This really sucks.

Send a message by voting for who you think is best and it's not a wasted vote. Our preferential system is kind of cool the way it lets you do that.

I suspect Biden was an anomaly, its still a global march to the extreme right. Here as well obviously.

Centrist parties really have to lift their game if we are to stop the spread of authoritanism and i dont see that happening anywhere.

Hopefully the people of Chile have not yet forgotten...I had a vague but not short thing with a girl from there about 10 years ago and (like is quoted in the article about this fellow) she felt Pinochet had been great for Chile and saved them the evils and financial ruin of socialism. Something I felt very different about! I then had a less vague but shorter thing with another girl from Chile and she seemed to think Pinochet was evil and the people would never allow it again.

They regularly riot their arses off on the anniversary of his coup (11 September). I was in Santiago for it one year and fuck me they know how to throw a good one!
