Not a TREK fan here, but would hate to see them go. Considering TREK have reported sustained financial loss for years now and being in the red this year I think they're taking a big gamble on 32" bikes. It may pay off? Who knows?!
Yeah agreed, they make great bikes. Were also well ahead of the curve for 29ers compared to any of the other big brands, especially in competition.

I'd wager they're hoping the same for 32" - an early entry into the UCI XC race scene followed by competition success owing to the sheer speed and rollover ability the things should be capable of will cement the decision. Can't be that shit if it's winning stuff right? Right?

It's pretty interesting that they are 6 months out from being on shop floors, yet their race teams are not using them.
They are a long way down the road to be worried about race results effecting sales

I'm not sure there's not much marketing benefit to be using a product that far out from it being available to the public. My guess is the teams will switch to them a few weeks before they go on sale.

From all reports (confirmation from people who have seen them on computers at TREK dealerships as well as the sites that had them loaded into their online shop databases) the pricing on these 32" bikes are not more expensive than the pricing on equivalent 29" bikes. That's pretty cool.

We start at 12", then go to 16", then 20", then 24", a minor step to 26", an even minorer step to 27.5", same to 29" and now a full 3" to get to 32". Think I will wait until they decide on 35".

Didn't it go 26 -> (briefly) 29 -> 27.5 -> 29?

I'm gonna hold out 'til 30.5 in 2028 so my wheels are both unplayful and obsolete by 2029. 👌
