Martin Maes: Obviously it's a lot more forgiving at the front. However, the back wheels remain the same. So sometimes you get away with the front and the rear catches you out. Um, so there is a lot more grip also over the front. However, it takes way more time to turn and change direction. Um, and at the moment for me, it's the biggest downside of the big wheels.

I don't care if people do buy them, I just know they're not for me. I'm 6'2" and if/when I get around to building another MTB it'll most likely be full 27.5". I value playful over fast nowadays.

Amen brother. I've gone back to the 27.5 on the 5010 and am loving it after years on 29ers.
