That is one very, very nice ride. Full rigid 29er SS is the way.

But you know the saying.

Steel is, has always been, and will continue to be... real.

Elvis.
btw: you coming to the 12hr tomorrow? you could meet/see your namesake...

Agreed about steel, I regret getting an aluminium frame but not a Ventana, if you know what I mean.

Nice Salsa, but then again what Salsa isn't nice? :D.

Looks like I'll miss out on meeting my namesake - I was a last minute chance at best for the 12hr.

C'mon Dunk where's that pic. Porn without pics is immensly unsatisfying.

If I take it on Sunday I'll get some action shots and post them, I have none of it atm.

Not that I can find. The only time I remember seeing it is at the Highland Fling and 1 SS race
I tried finding some photo's of me from the Port Macquarie 12 hour, and the Riders Choice 6 hour, but I didn't seem to have my photo taken anywhere. I'll take the camera out to the storage shed later this week and get a photo.

You've got so many bikes that they need their own storage shed? Nice :D

I wish, we are living in an apartment at the moment while looking for a house, and I don't have room for much of our stuff:mad: So I've got a storage shed up the road, it's a bit of a hassle though.

I'd like to go for a ride;

1. Pack riding gear in bag
2. Drive to storage unit
3. Pick bike to ride
4. Pack bike in car
5. Drive to ride
6. Ride
7. Drive to friends house
8. Wash and dry bike
8a Have beer
9. Pack bike in car
10. Drive to storage shed
11. Unload car
12. Drive home
13. Unpack riding gear

I want a garage!!!!!

Righto, it's been six weeks since the last bike (new roadie) so it looks like I'm about due for a new bike .

Any one on a DS 29er at the moment? I'm looking at a Ventana El Rey or a Niner RIP specifically, but I'm interested if everyone's experiences.

If I get one it will be to replace my Intense 5.5 so I'm thinking a solidly built 4 inch rig might be the go. It's still got to be light enough for XC (I'm happy to run a 2nd set of wheels to drop some weight) but strong enough to replace the 5.5. No, I don't do big drops, just wanna ride fast on rough trials, 2 - 3 ft to flat would be about as big as it would regularly see.

So come on, who's riding what?
