On a longer travel fork I think this is the way to go. Sure, on a 100mm XC fork you want have it setup so you use 100% of the travel on your average lap, but on a long travel fork you have the luxury to have good compliant suspension all the while keeping a little in reserve to "save the day".

 

@Zaf, have you done a damper bleed on the stock damper on the 27.5 fork?

If so, a nice detailed write up, with pics, would be good!

Or just a general word on how it went, oils used, that type of thing would be good...
