I've had great success making DT hubs quiet with Weldtite white lithium grease. You can put a lot more in than standard grease as it seems less sticky. If it skips, take the star ratchets out and wipe the grease off the splines, but leave a good coating on the actual ratchets faces.

OK so I tried using a shit tonne of Shimano premium grease and in the stand it was again much more quiet, but after the last ride it was noisy again. 
Thanks for the recommendation, will try Weldtite white lithium grease. Tempted to just get the wheel rebuilt with an Onyx hub!

Anyone have any input or experience with these Williams Racing Products internals for dt Swiss hubs?? Seems pretty cool to be able to get silent free coasting from a lightweight dt Swiss hub…?? Expensive but not bad if you already have the hubs…...

Raining the next few days so I thought I'd wash my bike and weigh it. Turns out mud and dirt is pretty damn heavy!
This weight is my mullet setup with pedals and a frame mounted multitool + bottle cage. The 140mm FOX 36 fork is a bit much for a mullet setup so there's a temptation to get a 130mm 34 SL if I decide to stick with a 29" front wheel. If I nerd out I could get it down to sub 10kg with these mods:
FOX 34 SL (1480g) -265g
HT ME03T Ti pedals (218g) -45g
OTVTO 29" wheelset (920g) -565g
Hope XCR PRO X2 brakeset (196g/215g) -132g
= 9.89kg
But that's a whole lotta $$$ and I'm honestly quite satisfied with where the final weight has landed considering it was 13.51kg when I started.

Finally took delivery of my ZEN Carbon Bike front wheel to match my rear wheel. No holes in the rim bed made for an easy tubeless setup. 184g lighter than the Roval Traverse rim it replaces.
