3 only please, and don't criticise anyone's bands unless the bands have been posted by myself, Konasaurus, or Roasted who all seem to be very free with their (often highly justified) criticism of other people's taste in music.

Can never get enough of them no matter how much I hear it. And to those who didn't like 10 000 Days..., YOU SUCK!
As a matter of fact, think I might put a Tool quote in my sig right now!

Candy Staton.

Second coolest soul singer behind Dusty Springfield.

Beijing Opera.

Sometimes, if I'm half asleep and I hear music, it really gets too me. Usually I would hate this stuff as it sounds like a some one masturbating with an out of tune bag pipe. But, I heard it while I was sleeping and now I understand it. I love it. WWWAAAAAAAIIII ooouuuuLLLLLAAAAAAAIIIIIOUUUUUU....kooooOOOOONGTIAOOU Louuuuyoooootiawuuuuuuuuuu!!!!!!

Sneaky Sound System - just so damn catchy

Birdy Nam Nam - French DJ group, the production/composition is amazing. Search youtube to see what i mean.

Urthboy - sample tracks from his upcoming album 'The Signal', sounds awesome..!

Alexisonfire

Grinspoon (an all time favourite of mine - love their old stuff)

I Killed the Prom Queen (started my foray into the genre of hardore, now i love it)

i know it said three, but...

Yves Klein Blue. great little known indie band out of brisbane that is made up of a couple of guys i know. recently won some MTV (yeah, i know  ) competition and are playing at the Powerhouse in brisbane with I Heart Hiroshima on sunday arvo! Free gig, so get there if you can!! [/plug]

The following three albums are getting a fair run-through on my MP3 player:

Ministry - Psalm 69

Mother Love Bone - Apple

Guns and Roses - Appetite for Destruction

Old favourites, and the 1st one is certainly good to listen to when riding in anger.

The number of albums released post-2000 that I care to listen to regularly I could count on one hand.

Dire Straits
John Mayer
Joss Stone

Having a break from the angry stuff atm.

Opeth! :D http://www.myspace.com/opeth

Necrophagist http://www.myspace.com/necrophagistde

Mastodon http://www.myspace.com/mastodon

And for my fav local band ATM...

Psycopathy! http://www.myspace.com/metalpsycopathymetal

Use to like Parkway Drive, I Killed The Prom Queen, etc... but now realise that followers need to grow testicles and get a proper haircut.

On that note I would like to display a picture, courtesy of my good mate Dave.

Sneaky Sound System
I heard a few people talking about this mob ages ago, but I didn't quite pay enough attention and for some reason had it in my head that it was just a single DJ outfit.

So imagine my suprise when I finally see footage of them playing and realise "Holy shit! It's whats her name from Primary!" (in those words, none the less).

I hadn't heard anything from Primary since "this is the sound" hit the airwaves. They did some killer tracks though, and its awesome to see that Connie's voice isn't going to waste; she's mean.

I didn't know that. I THOUGHT she sounded like the singer from Primary!
Back in the day when I was going to TAFE at night, I stood on Harris Street for an hour and a half listening to Primary playing on the roof of the ABC for a JJJ live at the wireless set.

Bands bands or just musical outfits in general?

Call me a bit old fashioned but just recently Ive mostly been listening to:
-UNKLE
-Soundgarden
-Portishead

I guess its winter after all.

Hahaha, I was just listening to the album with "this is the sound" from that gig on it! One of the best tracks on the comp.
I heard they had it all going their way around that time too, and then they completely fell off the radar. Shame they couldn't get it together because they had a nice sound.

biffy clyro

saosin

glassjaw ---for any fans out there im going to there first gig in years next month...cant wait!!!!!

This week I's been mostly listening to...

Amy Winehouse - Back to Black. Mad skanky looking alcoholic white cockney jewish chick with the voice of a 65 year old black lady. Strangely attractive

Lots and Lots of Infected Mushroom after 'acquiring' their back catalogue: half a dozen or so albums and more than a few EP's and not ONE tempo change. Great when driving/riding/getting off one's tits on nasty chemicals

QOTSA - Era Vulgaris: Better than thelast one, not as good as Rated R
