Blocking the equalisation port with grease is a bit of a furphy imo. Even a small amount of pressure will clear the grease so a fork getting over 50psi will have no issue.

100%. I was running low pressure with a big spacer and had trouble with it not returning to full extension. Went back to higher pressure and no spacer and the problem went away.
