Rider kicked off bike so they could steal it

I guess we now need to watch out for this when out riding, if this is starting to happen.
A guy I worked with was from Brazil and he said they would jump out of the bushes with a knife or a gun and ask for your bike, not like you can refuse especially if you are out in the jungle but didn’t expect it to start happening here.

Has happened a couple of times on the Roe Highway PSP in Perth. You also see motorbikes on it quite often.

Interestingly…rider in our group today used to work and ride in Malaysia. Always rode with machete strapped to the frame.
Really? I’ve traveled extensively throughout Indonesia and Malaysia. Can’t say I ever felt unsafe over there. Honduras on the other hand…..

So he was saying. Never used it for anything other than clearing brush, but felt the need to carry it. This was like 15 years ago though.
