Yeah that's one of the options I found too, but not particularly cheap.Increasing lift on modern cars can be complicated. I like the path you're going down but you'll never turn the car into a capable 4wd able to handle even easy tracks found in Australia. Good traction in European snow meets the design brief.
A quick google finds a simple solution, might work, and give you back tyre to fender clearance.

I'm fairly happy with how it's working as is. I can always reduce tyre back to a 215/60r16 and get back close to standard diameter.
According to RMS you can go 7% under or over stock diameter. This tyre however isn't available in that sizing. BFGoodrich Allterrain or Tokyo open country are also options but again only in 215/65r16
This Yoko Geolandar GO15 gives better snow traction too than most of the options available here.
So far I'm happy with the outcome, there's definitely more squish and roundabouts are interesting. But off-road it's a totally different beast to having 235/45R18
