Posting my ride and oven appreciation.

Ultra Lord

Hurts. Requires Money. And is nerdy.
A day of firsts!
First ride, first crash, first blown out ankle (unrelated to crash, managed to save it), first wash, first trailside vomit (for this bike).
Stoked I finished early enough for a cheeky 2.hr pedal.
I regret skipping lunch to get out and not eating before hand though, the bonk was real.

Things I learnt today;
I cannot hit the same lines I did 6 months ago on my spitty. Rain erosion, locked out rear shock and zero fitness = blowing a paw off the bars and eating dirt.

Forks too hard, must lower pressure and revisit compression settings. What feels good to fresh ultra lord in the garage does not equal feeling good an hour into a ride.

Tyres need less psi. 30psi in my minions don’t care about your opinions doesn’t apply anymore. DD casing and 30mm internal width rims=bounce. Not enough cushion for my new found lack of speed.

Trailside spews still suck.

It was a good ride. This bike is fun.
