Ahh yes, but climate change = global warming, same shit different name. Who hired this marketing team? Is it too late to ask for a refund?
They were hired by neocons and oil giants. It was all about confusion and denial. Looks like you fell for their bullshit.

It is what it is  Sorry if anyone doesn't like the words, but thats not an excuse for failing to understand them.

Not me, but yes, the pro perpetual economic growth PR juggernaut has done a great job convincing billions of people to stick their heads in the sand. Unfortunate that the scientific community is up against that kind of global mindset.
I'm just trying to make the point that blaming billions of people for being dumb (while true) doesn't achieve anything except make people pissy and get their guard up. Not to mention it paints yourself as a pretentious, righteous, prick that often only serves to drive the wedge between the two sides in deeper, it doesn't matter that you are correct if no-one wants to listen to you.

Fuck em. Dumb dumbs just need to managed and worked around and regulated. Time for humouring their dipshittery has passed.

Haha. The problem with that approach is that it's the "neocons and oil giants" who are lining the pockets and pulling the strings of the governments in charge of the "managing, working around and regulating".

Since when has a mass extinction ever hurt anyone??

Dunno, but we’re about to find out.

Was talking to a fellow at work about how the change to global shipping to reduce sulphur dioxide in diesel exhaust has been a big part of the aerosol reduction. The rules have come in for the Atlantic so far and appears to be partially to blame for the extra hot Euro summer.
Yep….

Checked how high my house is above current sea level… 70 odd metres. Glad I don’t have flooding or sea level rises to worry about.

Heatwaves… mmmmm. Not sure. Aircon?

Following the EV thread though… still not clear on lifetime metrics for new EV vs economical second hand petrol/diesel. Biodiesel? Ethanol fuels?
Can someone please make it much much cheaper to convert an existing petrol vehicle to electric? Surely that’s a better overall result? Less car bodies to recycle/landfill? Or not? I’m confused.

A new car is not going to solve anything. But at least an EV isn’t pouring fumes into peoples lungs, so that’s nice. Don’t be a deleted diesel arsehole at least.

Don’t overthink it. Drive what you have, buy a better one next time. Worry about bigger picture stuff.
