Okay where’s your go to for cheap Gravel parts?

Thinking of upgrading the Search’s GRX 2x10 to 1X11 or maybe 12 but looking for somewhere where the prices aren’t too bad.

The shifter seems to be the killer part was looking to get just the right shifter, so a GRX600 1x11 would do the trick, any recommendations?
 
The very idea of cheap gravel is counterintuitive to the marketing!!

Otherwise, check out LTwoo or Microshift if you want conventional brifters.

But if you are open to something different and very functional then check out Gevenalle. My set has been running for eight years with no dramas.
 
Are they actually upgrades? I'm over 15,000km on my 2x10 setup on my search and it's been flawless. It's the most neglected and abused drivetrain in my staple it it just keeps....Farken....Going.

The 2x10 GRX actually has a bigger range than the 2x11 as well, with a bigger spread on the cassette.

If the goal is just to go 1x there must be aftermarket chainring, cassette and derailleur cage options to achieve that without replacing all the other parts, surely ?

Main reason is to go 1X11, I know the 2x10 has a good spread but just trying to simplify for commuting, most other bits I can get aftermarket, cheap or I have, it’s just the shifter that seems to be the killer bit. Don’t know how many kilometres are on its current drivetrain, as I got it second hand, just trying to find a shifter.
 
Well I was waiting for a meeting to start while working today and clicked open marketplace, there was a set of 1x11 GRX shifters for $150, couldn’t say no to that.
 
Ah well, too late... Shimano STI7000 (105) 2 x 11 spd works fine instead of GRX. I combined the mechanical 11spd with cable actuated hydraulic disc calipers I bought from AliExpress (Zrace but they look like the Zttos). Plenty of good carbon frames and wheels on there too.

I sourced quite a few parts from the garage spares.

I don't know that 2x is that much more complcated than 1x. For me, as I wanted this bike to still be able to keep up on road ride, I needed the upper range that 48/31 chainrings offer.

I bought the frame, wheels, STI shifters, purple bling, disc brake calipers and handlebars on AliExpress, the GRX cranks and front and rear derailleurs online from a bike shop in Redcliff, QLD and the rest from spares I already had.
