Newly Released Suspension & Components General

I really liked their tyres but I wouldn't have minded a mid-weight Vigilante, it seemed to be heavy and tough, or lightweight and flimsy.
Try the light fast rolling on the front again!

You literally weight 15kg less now. It'll work for you.

Love my EXT Storia and love the look of these but sounds like it could be a bit hard to set up right and easy to get wrong. Though maybe their web app fixes that

Shimano could quite easily stuff these up. Sadly I think there brakes slowly declined from 785s.

Agreed, M785 was peak Shimano brakes however I was coming off Avids so that may be a factor.
When does your Acto5 arrive? I've got the new bike itch and need to live vicariously to prevent poor financial decisions.

Given that Saints have been independently tested as being the most powerful mainstream DH brakes still, why bother?

I don’t think saints have been updated since 2012. The golden era. I loved shimano brakes but from m8000 onwards I’ve experienced the constant need for a lever bleed. Annoyingly this was hit and miss as I’ve bought good and bad versions of everything since those days.

...lack of availability may play a part in it along with the perceived need for things to be newerer.

Given that the calipers and levers are no different to other Shimano brakes how can this be? Unless I'm mistaken the caliper pistons are the same size as the other 4 pots and it's an SLX lever?
