I think its great but warranty or service work on motorbikes is not bicycles, its a bit of a worry.

It's easy money for moto brands, there are alot less moving parts, tech and materials in an eeb than a proper moto and they sell for similar price... I'm surprised it has taken this long.
I do think the market is probably oversaturated with eebs options now, and they are probably going to try and sway the brand loyal moto guys onto one for a bit of "fun".

Agreed but fine adjustment of gears, complaints of noise with motors, rear hubs, derailleurs/hangers, working on suspension forks, shocks and general bike creaks are not something they are used to and there's no way their sales will be big enough per dealership to to take on someone with decent bicycle knowledge.

Unless they just throw new shit at every problem... even with us with decent/great bicycle knowledge, sometime a creak or issue can take a long time.

They can laugh their arses off knowing that they can make an eBike more expensive than a moto and be a lot less complex.

I think they would be more worried having XCish lycra whippets in the showroom instead of middle aged gents with leather jackets.

There's a Motorcycle Dealer here that also sells MTB. It's like you've dealt with them before. They aren't bad and I happily send people there to buy stuff, but never send anyone there to get things fixed.

I had a job recently to go around moto dealers to get prices and availability of 2 x battery power carts for work after the lead time for our expected electric Polaris vehicles blew out to over a year.

Was at John Deere, Yamaha, Honda, Suzuki and a few other private moto shops, only to be told by most to go to a country dealer to talk about farm commercial/vehicles as they couldn't order them in the city dealerships. There was a bit of a conference between sales teams at most discussing if they could find a get-around to supply me the carts, I'd have been very surprised if any of the blokes I talked to rode a pushy or knew anything about them except they had no engine
