Newly Released eBikes and eComponents General

I’m not sure how the Avinox motor works but the Gobao uses two motor. One to turn the chain ring and one that takes the input from the cranks and adds that power to the other motor.
The second motor is more about changing the speed difference in the planetary gears to create the different 'ratios' than "adding power". It's just different packaging of the motors at a guess.
Not sure how that works with a flat battery.🤔
Would almost certainly just be stuck in whatever ratio it is in when the battery drops below minimum Voltage and so sad too bad. Might have a threshold where it goes into a limp mode.

Might be like the Pinion MGU where the motor is shut down but there’s eno power for around 1000 shifts, if that’s possible with this type of transmission.

Not really (if it's the style of eCVT I think it is). Look up how a planetary gear arrangement works. But in these eCVT arrangements, instead of sun gear or carrier being mounted statically - one of them is now mounted to a motor, the speed that the sun gear or carrier turns is how the ratio of the output is varied.

Interesting Bosch pulled out of EUROBIKE 2026 and Gobad set up across the aisle from Avinox. Crank position looks ok if anything it's not hanging down abit under the motor don't have to worry about the chainring getting caught. Don't forget that both Avinox and Gobad eCVT are in the protype stage.

pretty sure driving for answers on tube, did a vid on this very concept for a hybrid car

I'm done with my Amflow. I've been thinking of putting a 180mm fork on it. Will void the warranty but IDGAF. Just got to wait for 180mm forks to go on sale.

This is.. interesting.

Bulls do a few MGU bikes.

That is incredibly hot, but at what point do you juat accept that dirt bike riding is probably your thing? I would be interested to see a dirt bike that was effectively a swanky dh bike. 1000w or 1500w battery (enough for a couple of hours ripping uphill skids on the dh tracks), throttle driven, no gears...and see if weight can come in close to the big travel eeeebs.

And!!! Are manitou deliberately ripping off the old Marz shiver look?

Mate the Bonnell is for you.

I dunno. I have a motorbike license and have had a few motorbikes but just don't feel comfortable with how heavy motorbikes are. A downhill e-MTB though I think I could handle just fine!
