Coming soon!!!!!!!!!

We’ve got a new carrier coming your way soon… and here at Grip HQ we are seriously excited about that.

When we released our Hi-Ride carrier 6 years ago, there’s no doubt it set the benchmark for bike racks and as far as we’re concerned it’s still the world’s best carrier for hi-end road and cross country bikes (especially if they’re carbon fibre). It’s simple, tough, remarkably quick and easy to use and just happens to also be versatile enough to carry everything from BMXs to Penny Farthings as well as “ladies” bikes, recumbents, tandems and “family” bikes.

So why would we change it? Well we wouldn’t. The “Classic” Hi-Ride is still the best carrier ever for all the types of bike mentioned above… it’s still the biggest selling item we’ve ever had… by a long country mile in fact… and we simply don’t believe in “fixing” what aint broke.

But what we have done is take the very best of the “Classic”, pump it full of steroids and give birth to our new “Downhill” Hi-Ride carrier. It’s half the weight of our old D/H rack, got twice the ground clearance, ten times the bling and a redesigned holding method that will see you unloading/loading and securing the biggest D/H rigs in under 10 seconds.

And no more crank holders!

So far we’ve finished the prototyping, are into the road testing and within the next two weeks we’ll begin destructive testing to ensure it’s up to GripSport’s “Guaranteed-for-life” standard. After that it’s all yours. So far we’ve got a list as long as a baby’s arm full of people waiting on these, so if you have any questions, or want to order one and go on the list then don’t hesitate to get in touch through our website BY CLICKING HERE

Cheers

UPDATE - MONDAY SEPT 10
FIRST PICS OF OUR TEST RIG.

We're ahead of schedule so I thought I'd whack up a couple of pics. We've finished the destructive testing and have rated the carrier for 2 bikes @ 28Kg each. We've also done all the IP protection (reg designs etc) just in case anyone plans on copying it... and it should be on the market and ready to go within 10 days. So get your orders in quick!

Yeah, yeah... blah, blah.
And now you can have one!!!!

And here it is… our new Hi-Ride “Downhill” carrier that so many people have been waiting on. At this stage we’re looking at having these ready to go this Wednesday (Sept 26), but the first production run is just about sold out already, so if you don’t want to miss out you need to call us and order yours right now.

As you can see from the photos, this isn’t just a design tweak to the old D/H carrier… it’s totally new and has about 50,000 advantages over the old model. In particular…
* It’s half the weight
* There’s NO “crank holders”
* It’s designed specifically for D/H bikes, but it’s every bit as versatile as the “Classic” Hi-Ride meaning it will cradle, protect and care for the most delicate road and XC bikes like a mother bear looking out for her cubs.

Forget ropes and belts and elastic straps. Forget carriers that hang D/H bikes at ridiculous angles. Forget trying to squeeze big D/H rigs onto racks that are just way too small. Forget racks that take ages to load and secure. Forget racks that force you to “pad out” between bikes.

With the Hi-Ride “Downhill” you simply lift your bike into the wheel “wells”, pull the hook down over the top of the frame, pull the quick-release tie-down to hold the hook in place… then drive away. You’re looking at 5 to 8 seconds to load and secure a bike.

For now we’re holding the price to exactly the same as the “Classic” Hi-Ride ($398), but as we said… as of today (Monday morning) there’s not many left available out of the first production run so you will need to get in quick.

Cheers
