MTB gloves

Guessing from your avatar you do XC riding, so in my opinion you should get some TLD XC gloves. There are different colors.

I've had TLD XC gloves which were fantastic. Got about 6 years of use out of them. They are now fingerless and in tatters. Dunno if I'd get another pair as the style has changed a bit and they cost $50. Next came a pair of Scary fast Spyders. They were so so. 2 months ago I bought a set of Fluid branded gloves from Anaconda for $17 and so far they are awesome. Good padding, full fingers, snot pad, reinforced on the trigger finger and thumb. I use 'em for Xc trail riding. For the price they can't be beaten IMHO.
 
I have FOX sidewinders.
They're pretty sweet, lots of armour on the more rashable places, hard parts on the back of the fingers, nice air holes for vents.
And they even have a towel section on the side of the thumbs so you can wipe sweat/goggles clean :D
 
Troy Lee Designs XC. Light. Great fit. Good protection. Good feel on the bars. Stronger than they look. DH boys & girls use 'em. Padding on the palms doesn't look like it does much but I high-sided off the bike onto the footpath recently (wet concrete kerb. ouch!) & my hands landed first, no damage to me (my hands anyway) or the gloves. You can pick them up for less than $50. Torpedo 7 have them for about $35 + postage, I think. Just bought a second (spare) pair for myself and a pair for my daughter. Best gloves I have ever used.

I just wish that they had a towelling section for sweat wiping, but that's the only thing I can think of that owuld make them better.
 
I use Harley Davidson Air Flows for street/low risk. Palm is leather, tops are think air flowing mesh. They are good for urban riding. But they are super comfortable and the leather is tough as.

For more off road stuff I use a kevlar fox glove
 
anyone know where i can get a pair of Troy lee XC around sydney?

Kinda need one before this sat! :D

I measured 19cm from my mid finger to my wrist if that helps
Are there other different stocks at cycleworld?
 
I noticed some Raceface ATLAS gloves in red size medium on ebay.
2 pairs for $25 delivered.
I bought a pair from CRC and never had a problem with them.
Probably not as good as the TLD's (definately not) but a great glove for general XC riding and cheap at this price.
Same guy has Evolve XC gloves and some Diabolus DH gloves.
Same deal - 2 pair $25. Bloody bargain if you ask me.
 
I should get a second pair, my 661 Rajis stink really badly because I'm always like "I can't wash them now, I need to use them in X time".

BTW, what do people think of Rajis? I find them extremely cool, comfortable and grippy, but they seem like they mightn't last that long, and I haven't even had any stacks on them to speak of.
