Are they different forks too?
I didn't think the FZ1's came with radial mount brakes.
I think the forks are still the "S" forks I can't find a receipt for new forks :)
Although he did pay $1300 for the "N" assembly for the front maybe that included forks?

Well that escalated quickly - Went for the first real ride today and noticed the clutch has to be all the way into the bars to disengage and the cable is stiff to move and the lever is out of adjustment - Also felt a "Wobble" in the back tyre - nothing much but enough that I should have a look - The tyre that has most of its tread left and looks new was ruined when they fitted it and can't be fixed.
So off to the shop for a new tyre - then when they were fitting the tyre the mechanic was having a gander at the bike and realised the brake calipers on the front were upside down and thus on the wrong sides. I assume they did this to allow the air to run out the bottom of the bleed nipples.
I contacted the seller who claims to have replaced the fluids and questioned the authenticity of his claims - He assures me that he did indeed bleed the brakes - change the oil - clean the sir filter and reoil it (K&N filter) - replace the spark plugs.
I now however have very little confidence in his mechanic abilities and when the shop fits the clutch cable they will be doing all that again.

The Tyre I should have spotted but it looked great did not even think about it being fucked in the fitting - the brakes I don't think a lot of people would have thought to check if they are upside down.

I hate the clutch lever its too short but may be better with the new cable and proper adjustment - And I really am too hold and currently looking for a baffle for the exhaust lol.

Geez that's no good at all.

Does anyone on here recommend tinted visors? Just as the summer months are here, so more hours on the bike. I have a clear one on but unsure if its worth just grabbing a tinted visor to put on?

Currently got this one the Bell Qualifier but only with the clear visor.

My personal preference is for
  1. Sunglasses on with clear visor - if I get caught in a dark situation have options
  2. Drop down tinted visor inside helmet - A lot of helmets have these now
  3. Tinted visor as it looks way cooler :)

I always had tinted visors - got caught too many times now so stayed clear.

Yep, I've been caught out before with tinted visors. You think you'll be home before dark, but na. At least I wear glasses anyway, so I could tough it out.

But my newest lid is a Caberg and it has the drop down sun-visor bizzo inside and I love it... it's the best thing ever. Oddly, the screen on my VStrom is so good that I never put the front clear visor down anyway... even at serious speeds... only if it rains.

BTW, I think this type of helmet really only works on your adventure toury sort of bikes with decent screens... I doubt I'd want the external sunvisory thing at speed on a sports bike... my neck gets sore just thinking about it. But on my SUV, er, VStrom, it is great.

I run 2 helmets currently both with Pinlock for anti fog / glare
My favourite is the Shoei GT Air 2 - Super quiet in clean air - Horrendous in choppy air - So many choices now - depending on what you use it for the shapes make such a difference - Surprisingly I nearly bought the Harley Davidson Modular is was soooo comfortable.

So spent 4 hrs diving into AliExpress last night seems the big advantage to buying a Chinese bike is parts and accessories everywhere - even things I didn’t even know or think I wanted til I saw them Hahahah
