leaking out the other end
Nah they kept it quiet. It is an overseas seller with a lot of OEM Shimano parts, I suspect they are just hiding that they are bypassing geoblocking but it is sneaky AF.Did they disclose they had ground the serial off ?
I went Next SL's to shed weight, had a set of G1's before and never had an issue. The new ones were G5's... hoping they have all issues sorted by now.
I had a set of Next SL's that developed a loose pedal spindle and were 3 months outside the warranty period and RaceFace were not helpful. I picked up another replacement set online pretty cheaply, but I'm still dirty that they didn't come to the party for a known issue. My current ones are G5's but the fact that they are up to the 5th generation sums up their long term reliability issues....
I did look at SiSL2s but I couldn't justify the price for their weight. I do really like their modular design and could have used my RaceFace spindle, but I'm not sure if they do actually save any weight over Next SLs.Noooooo. Get Cannondale Hollowgrams.
My Next SLs with a 34t are 447g and the XTR with a 30t are 522g. So I'm taking a 75g weight hit which is more than acceptable for the trade off of returning to a 24mm spindle and the utopia of long lasting $30 Shimano XT threaded bottom brackets.
